The Zoning Department is a division of the Village of Hesperia Police Department . The Zoning Department is responsible for all planning and zoning items related to all Village ordinances, zoning permits, zoning relief requests, construction & site plan reviews, zoning variances and zoning enforcement.
The Zoning Department is located in the Hesperia Village Hall Office, located at 33 East Michigan Avenue Hesperia, MI 49421
Permits
Any person desiring to build or cause to be built a structure within the Village of Hesperia shall first apply to the Zoning Department for a zoning permit. You can obtain a zoning permit application from the Hesperia Zoning Department located in the Hesperia Village Hall . The cost of a zoning permit is $30. The Zoning Department also conducts a site plan review for new construction inside the Village limits. The fee for the site plan review for new construction is $100.00. After a Zoning application is approved, all building permits are issued through The Newaygo County Department of Building Safety office if located on the Newaygo side of the Village, and all building permits are issued through the Oceana County Building Inspectors office if located on the Oceana side of the Village.
